ECE listed at 82 in the prestigious AJ100

ECE Group has been listed 82 in the widely respected AJ100. The black-tie event, held on Wednesday June 19th at the Pavilion, Tower Bridge, London, welcomed practices from across the UK to celebrate the industry’s best talent and commend the designs which have made a notable difference to the UK’s architectural landscape.

Additionally, ECE Group, which comprises ECE Architecture, ECE Planning and ECE Westworks, was a named finalist in the AJ100 New Member of the Year Award. The Group has more than doubled in size since its formation in 2011 and continues to design and deliver ground-breaking projects for clients across education, commercial, hospitality & leisure, affordable and private housing sectors.

The AJ100 is an annually released table compiled by the Architects’ Journal which provides a list of the UK’s 100 biggest architecture practices and is measured by the number of qualified architects employed. Published annually since 1995 the AJ100 offers a timely snapshot of the profession over the previous calendar year and measures the level of optimism among practices for the year to come.

In the last five-years, ECE has expanded from its studio in Worthing to open offices in London and Bristol, employing over 90 people and giving both qualified and aspiring architects exciting opportunities to be involved in realising the Practice’s projects. ECE’s services include architectural design, interior design, masterplanning and town planning.

The Practice is currently working on some of the county’s most significant projects, including the creation of a masterplan for Sussex County Cricket Club’s The 1st Central County Ground, Hove and securing planning for three sites for the Shoreham Port Authority, providing the area with a range of new, state-of-the-art enterprise centres.

Stuart Eatock, ECE Architecture Managing Director comments:

“This listing, coupled with the nomination for the New Member of the Year Award, represents an exciting time for the ECE Group and heralds a new era of growth. Over the past five-years, we have made significant changes to our working environment and culture. This, along with the ground-breaking projects we continue to design and build, has enabled us to attract and retain some of the very best talent the industry has to offer. The AJ100 is the benchmark of excellence for our industry so to be shortlisted for this prestigious award is a testament to our team and a significant achievement.”
