‘Journeys into construction and overcoming challenges’ – Women in Construction Sussex May 2023
Last week we hosted our second Women in Construction Sussex event at Platf9rm, Hove. Following on from a successful first event in October 2022, we invited six panellists to share their experiences and thoughts about the topic ‘Journeys into construction and overcoming challenges’ which attracted over 115 attendees.
The evening started with brief introductions from our inspiring panellists, after which they quickly moved to the real talk about their individual experiences within construction, architecture and planning.
The discussion focused on how the industry can be made more accessible and attractive for young women and touched upon current topics such as AI, how to navigate being a woman on a construction site, and how women can be better supported throughout their careers in general.
We want to thank our ECE Women in Construction Working Group, our attendees, and panellists for another great event with a healthy debate.
