Lady Bee wins Sussex Heritage Award
ECE Architecture are delighted that Lady Bee has won a Sussex Heritage Trust Award within the Commercial category.
The Sussex Heritage Trust Awards are designed to recognise and reward the highest quality conservation, restoration and good design of newly built projects while encouraging the use of traditional skills and crafts.
ECE redeveloped the Lady Bee Marina within Shoreham Harbour, to create a benchmark contemporary design of three industrial buildings to provide 14 individual business units. The scheme creates a benchmark in design for any future developments within and around the Port in Shoreham.
Judges were impressed with the building, and said:
“Impressive design and use of materials to create first-class business units. It is rare to see design flair expressed in what is essentially an industrial building”
