The ECE team has been selected by Rother District Council to prepare proposals for a speculative Headquarter offices in Bexhill.
The site has the potential to become a commercial campus in the heart of Bexhill, with excellent connectivity to public transport, sports and social facilities. ECE’s vision for the site provided the potential tenant with a flexible working environment, featuring the new offices as the key focal point of the campus.
At this stage, the scheme has been given a simple elevation treatment, utilising vertical fins to provide solar shading to the east and west elevations. Interior design proposals take inspiration from ECE’s Holiday Extra development in Newingreen.
The design has been developed to BREEAM Excellent and WELL Building Gold standard, key features to promote wellbeing include:
Light – the design supports excellent access to daylight and views.
Mind – the ‘green lung’ through the spine of the site provides access to nature and restorative space to allow individuals to step away from the stress of the office environment, recharge and refocus.
Air – the feature atrium with roof ventilation will ensure optimum air quality, as pollutants built up during a working day, such as VOCs, and CO2 will be continually exhausted.
Movement – the use of the atrium stair feature, bridges and activated walkways provide circulation networks that promote regular movement for occupants.Share this
