ECE have received planning approval for 21 apartments in two contemporary blocks in Warlingham, Surrey. Located on a steeply sloping site with excellent views, the high-quality design and layout proposed has been given specific consideration to ensure the development positively contributes to the nature of the area. The topography of the site has been utilised to its full potential, creating a unique appearance for both apartment buildings.
The design of the apartments has been carefully considered, proposing a contemporary brick form and consists of a range of materials including glass balustrades, bronze aluminium panels, and sedum green roofs. The mature landscaped screening to the north, which steps back into the hillside and west boundaries will be maintained and enhanced with native trees and hedges to create a more secluded feel to the site and to preserve the sylvan setting of Succombs Hill.
The build will contribute extensively to the housing needs of the borough, providing high quality homes for future residents, delivering on the Council’s five year housing land supply.
