Tate Residences

Tate Residences is a new nine storey mixed-use development, forming Phase 1 of the masterplan for the County Ground in Hove, home to Sussex County Cricket Club.

The scheme draw references from the white cliffs of Sussex and local architectural buildings – such as the Van Alen building and art deco Embassy Court. The masterplan creates a more visible, attractive and improved arrival experience for the cricket grounds.

The residences replace a number of existing buildings that included a pub and industrial units. The completed building comprises of 37 luxury apartments, a basement car park and 1757m2 of commercial space for a new bar/restaurant and offices.

Sustainability is key for the development – it is highly energy and water efficient, it exceeds the Building Regulations requirements and meets a BREEAM Excellent rating. Sustainable initiatives include solar panels, heat recovery units, underfloor heating, low air leakage, a highly insulated building envelope, electric car charging, and a residents travel plan to encourage sustainable transportation.
