ECE Architecture are excited to announce that planning permission has been granted for a site in Epsom, including redevelopment of Grade II and II* listed buildings.
The development sensitively restores and converts Woodcote Grove Mansion and the Coach House into 11 apartments and creates a further 73 apartments and 14 houses within new buildings. This redevelopment sensitively locates resident parking within communal gardens to enhance the public realm.
The site, located on Chalk Lane, has a notable history that dates back before Domesday, as such the proposals draw upon historical references with contemporary interpretations. Building proportions, layouts and material choices all respond to the heritage setting.
ECE’s design team have worked closely with Epsom & Ewell Borough Council Planning team to develop an outstanding design. Consultations have also taken place with Design South East and the general public.
