ECE achieves coveted BIM Level 2 Accreditation

In August 2018, ECE joined a privileged group of only 34 architectural and construction industry organisations in achieving Global BIM Level 2 Business Systems Certification with the Building Research Establishment (BRE), the world’s leading building science centre.

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is the management of information through the whole life cycle of a built asset, from initial design all the way through to construction, maintaining and finally de-commissioning, through the use of digital Modelling. By collaborating with engineers, owners, architects, contractors and other stakeholders in a three dimensional virtual construction environment (common data environment), we can produce and share data rich coordinated documentation.

BRE BIM Level 2 certification assesses business capability to utilise advanced 3D modelling tools and have the standards, methods, procedures, skilled staff and infrastructure in place for strict compliance with the Government’s strategy, in particular PAS 1192-2:2013.

ECE Director Craig Boddington said:

“ECE can now give its clients greater assurance that its BIM credentials are fully aligned with the industry, enabling us to deliver exceptional build environments which provide clarity, certainty and efficiency. We are thrilled to have achieved this coveted certification.”
