ECE Architecture was approached by Roffey Homes to maximise the redevelopment of a site on Worthing seafront that would respond to the local townscape. This project has transformed this site with an 8-storey building of 16 two-bedroom and 13 three-bedroom apartments.
Each apartment has a sea view afforded by either balcony or an external private terrace, with 40 underground car parking spaces and a landscaped communal garden to occupy the West Parade frontage.
Taking cues from Marine Point on the opposite side of Grand Avenue and using a neutral palette derived from the pebbles, this simple, elegant and high quality design enhances the urban character of the surrounding streetscape.
The design was revisited in response to planning inspector feedback and the redesigned proposals received consent at planning.
