A completed project for the University the Creative Arts providing accommodation for 300 undergraduates on a Green Belt site on the outskirts of Farnham adjacent to Farnham Castle.
This especially sensitive site required an architectural response, which was both contemporary and in keeping with the historic context of this Georgian town.
The ‘village’ is organised round a pedestrian street, which meanders up the hill to the castle. Students live in small clusters of unique bedrooms with views to internal greens or across to the town water meadows.
The project received an RIBA Award, a full Civic Trust Award and a Waverley Design Award.
