The sun sets on ‘Doorhenge’

After a month on Worthing beach, ECE Architecture’s Doorways installation has finally come down

In that time, the Doorways received media attention from the BBC, The Times, The Telegraph, local press and international design blogs, as well as starring in thousands of social media posts.

In addition, the #ECEdoorways Twitter and Instagram photo competition received hundreds of entries and the winner has now been selected.

The judges had a tough time choosing, with so many creative shots from both professional and amateur photographers, but after a long debate, we can now reveal the winner of a brand new Apple Watch is:

We chose this image as our winner because of it’s a fresh approach.  We felt it captured the idea of reflection and repetition in a new and contemporary way, well done Ethan!

ECE Managing Director, Stuart Eatock said:

“The variety of imagery the public managed to capture of the Doorways shows just how creative the Worthing community is – we’re very proud to be a part of that.”

Each individual doorway has now been sold to local buyers, raising over £400 for local children’s hospice charity, Chestnut Tree House.

After the success of Doorways this year and the Mirrored Beach Hut last year, ECE is already in discussion with branding agency Creative Forager about a possible installation next year.
