ECE are pleased to announce that planning has been secured for an innovative new community space within Shoreham Port.
The Port Kitchen, which is set to open its doors in 2021, will offer a vibrant atmosphere and stunning views across the harbour. This is the fourth site that ECE have worked on within Shoreham Port, and is just a stone’s throw away from the award-winning Lady Bee Enterprise Centre.
Plans for this exciting project involve converting the Port’s existing Dry Dock shed into a new contemporary building to house the two-storey Port Kitchen, which will also provide 1200sqft of rentable commercial space on the first floor. The finished building will retain dedicated operational capability to enable the Dry Dock to continue to service the needs of visiting vessels.
Shoreham Port’s vision is to create an iconic space and service which puts them on the map, as well as a positive, happy place for the community to enjoy. The Port Kitchen will have transport links and cycle storage, which contributes to the Shoreham Port commitment to promoting fully sustainable development. The roof of the kitchen will be fitted with solar panels, and planting in and around the café will be local habitat based.Share this
