Port Kitchen

Port Kitchen is an innovative new community space, offering a vibrant atmosphere and stunning views across the harbour. This is the fourth site that ECE have worked on within Shoreham Port, and is just a stone’s throw away from the award-winning Lady Bee Enterprise Centre. Port Kitchen offers great coffee and fresh food as well as providing more jobs to the local area.

This exciting project converted the Port’s existing Dry Dock shed into a new contemporary building to house the two-storey Port Kitchen, which provides 1200sqft of rentable commercial space on the first floor. Around the building there is outdoor space and seating. The finished building retains dedicated operational capability to enable the Dry Dock to continue to service the needs of visiting vessels.

Shoreham Port’s vision was to create an iconic space and service which puts them on the map, as well as a positive, happy place for the community, local businesses and tourists to enjoy. The Port Kitchen has transport links and cycle storage, which contributes to the Shoreham Port commitment to promoting fully sustainable developments. The roof of the kitchen is fitted with solar panels, and planting in and around the café is local habitat based.
