ECE worked alongside long term client, South Coast Nursing Homes, to design and deliver a new build 50-unit care home that replaced an existing dwelling on the site. The neighbouring site is a care home also owned by South Coast, and together the two homes form one of the largest facilities in Sussex with 100+ beds.
The design vision was to create a modern interpretation of a care home, with media integration throughout. The layout and spaces have been designed to be more akin to a hotel with generous recreation areas and gardens, all finished to the highest standards.
The villas at the front of the building are designed to match South Coast’s neighbouring care home, which ECE also designed and delivered. The link elements signify breaks in the building and with a more modern design.
